Around 60 people were saved after they were trapped on a ropeway for 45 mins in Uttarakhand.

A technical glitch left at least 60 people, including a Uttarakhand BJP MLA, stranded in a cable car mid-air for 45 minutes. All 60 were now rescued from the cable car that was stranded in Tehri’s Surkanda Devi Temple Ropeway.
Similar incident occurred in May. Pilgrims who were visiting the shrine of the hilltop goddess Sharda in Maihar, Satna district in Madhya Pradesh, were saved about an hour after getting stuck in cable cars.
After a cable car got stuck mid-air at Parwanoo Timber Trail (Himachal Pradesh’s Solan) in June, 11 people became stranded. After a six-hour-long operation by the NDRF, and other agencies, they were rescued.
