Prime Minister Narendra Modi extends Eid ul Adha greetings to citizens

Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished people Eid ul Adha and wrote: “May we be inspired by this festival to work towards promoting the spirit collective well-being, prosperity for humankind.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday took to Twitter to wish the people on the occasion of Eid ul-Adha and wrote, “Eid Mubarak! Greetings on Eid-ul-Adha. May this festival inspire us to work towards furthering the spirit of collective well-being and prosperity for the good of humankind.”

Rahul Gandhi, Congress’s President, also tweeted about the occasion, writing “Eid Mubarak!” Eid-al-Adha, the auspicious occasion, may bring joy and prosperity to all.

Union minister Smriti Irani also sent her wishes and wrote, “Greetings for Eid-ul Adha This day should encourage compassion and kindness in society.”

Rajnath Singh, the Defence Minister, also wished everyone happiness and prosperity on Eid-ul Adha.


The Border Security Force celebrated the occasion with sweets exchanged with the Pakistan Rangers at Attari-Wagah’s border.
