Google stated Friday that it is experiencing indexing problems that prevent new articles and content from appearing in Search. Search terms you type in Google will not display any newly published articles. Google promises that an update will arrive within 12 hours.
Google indexes content that has been published on websites and then feeds it into search results.
At the time of writing, we have not been able to find any results when searching for CNET and CNN articles that were published within the past hour. When searching for several other websites, such as Bloomberg, The New York Times or Yahoo, we couldn’t find any results. Similar results can be found for other search phrases.
You can still find older content.
Search is not working correctly due to this glitch. Some sites are showing new articles as published hours ago, even though they were published much earlier. The below experiment was performed for CNET articles. It did not produce any results.
Google didn’t respond, but they linked to a Tweet from Search CentralSearch.org is an official feed, which provides search updates.
