Swordfish opens with a sequence in which John Travolta’s character forces Hugh Jackman’s to hack the Pentagon while receiving a blowjob from a woman at gunpoint. The movie doesn’t get much more intelligent from there. The movie can be enjoyed if you suspend your disbelief. But, unfortunately, it is not for everyone.It is tragically stupid.
Jackman portrays Stanley Jobson (Steve Jobs anyone?An ex-con gets roped into an unusual cyber heist. Travolta plays a cyber villain who wants to terrorize the world’s terrorists using money stolen from a federal slush fund (???). A bad haircut makes him look a lot like the bad guy from another movie. HackerConvention of s. Bucking SwordfishIt asks its audience to believe this, Peak physical conditionJackman is also one the most skilled hackers in the world. Sure!
